project overview:
This project exemplifies the results of a highly detailed design process and the synergies between design and technology. The theater was designed as part of a larger integrated system in a contemporary home. Extensive use of RPG Recording Studio acoustical treatments, such as FlutterFree, produced in exotic woods and applied in carefully calculated ways, solves both architectural and technical problems. The use of a site-built optical glass projection port keeps the projector and related noise out of the visual and acoustical space. Custom finished floor-standing speakers afford unparalleled audio quality and yet blend well with the interiors. The final touches include massive, smooth-sliding doors and immaculate finish quality.
